Tai Chi: Standing Forever

I really should use my mobile phone stop watch instead of my small, old, electronic kitchen clock when I’m training.

This morning I got up early as usual to practice my embrace the tree posture, set my kitchen clock to count down from 20 minutes to zero. I pressed the start button and checked to see if it was working and stepped back into the posture.

Tai Chi: The Day When Time Stood Still

I set my small electronic clock to count down from 8 minutes, pressed the start button, and stepped back into my ’embrace the tree posture’.

I relaxed into my posture and thought time would go quick as this was my 8 minute session as compared to the normal 20 minute sessions I do on alternative days.

Tai Chi Weirdo

A little while ago I was in Shepparton for a holiday. On one of the sunny days, Sue and I decided to veg out beside the lake so we set up our picnic table, chairs, lunch and just kicked back and watch the world go by.

After a while I got itchy Tai Chi feet and decided to walk over to the edge of the lake to practice some  Tai Chi and Chi Kung. I felt energised and to finish off my practice I got into the embrace the tree posture (standing meditation).

Adults, children, and the odd dog walked, ambled, trottered by, glancing over towards me. I ignored them and stayed focused on my stance work.
