Tai Chi Wake Up Call

By Chris Leave a Comment

I have two alarm clocks. One beside my bed and the other is my ’embrace the tree’ (standing posture) training.

The bedside clock alarm gets me out of bed but when I stumble into the living room and start my 25 minute standing posture practice –  I really wake up.

I practice my ’embrace the tree’ posture six days a week, currently at 25 minutes duration, soon to be 30 minutes. Usually I practice at 6.30am, but on a Wednesday I start at 5.30am if I have a private student to teach later in the day.

I always feel energised and refreshed after the session regardless of how I felt before I start.

The Tai Chi wake up call is the best call I ever made.
