Well, it’s only a couple days away from my next Aged Care: Chair Chi Training Level 1 workshop.
I’m really looking forward to this workshop as I’ll be working with aged care staff who run activities for their low care and high care residents. I’ll be teaching staff how to run a Chair Chi workshop and one of the things I find enjoyable is the opportunity to share experiences about working with the elderly; a component of the workshop.
In our first workshop last November there were may inspiring and insightful stories about working with the elderly. And in this workshop I’ll be encouraging the sharing of stories as a powerful way of communicating experiences and knowledge.
The workshop I run is not all about physical skills though a fair portion is devoted to teaching adapted Tai Chi skilk while seated for both low care and high care residents. The other essential ingredients include self esteem, confidence and a sense of fun to make the Chair Chi workshop more than just ‘another exercise’.
We still have places available so if you are interested register here.
