Zorba The Greek & Tai Chi

By Chris Leave a Comment

What does Zorba the Greek and a dedicated Tai Chi practitioner have in common?

Passion.

And that’s what will sustain you through your Tai Chi journey.

You need to do a Zorba and put a lot of ‘Oopa’ in your Tai Chi training.

Otherwise you will become a technician without heart.

So enjoy this clip, my favourite scene from ‘Zorba the Greek’ movie (1964), and watch Zorba do his fast form, with passion.

Chen Zhonghua – Fajin

By Chris 2 Comments

Discovered this clip from Jordan Keats who is doing a good job of promoting Chen style Tai Chi.

Although I do Wu Style Tai Chi I can appreciate the talent and skill of Master Chen Zhonghua’s demonstration of fajin.

Whenever I see masters such as Chen Zhonghua demonstating aspects of Tai Chi, it  inspires me to continue to practice and try to improve my skills.

Celebrating Story – a Tai Chi Perspective

By Chris Leave a Comment

Celebrate Story TaiChi IndoorsLast week Sue and I ran our AQ/KQ of Story at the ‘Celebrating Story’ conference here in Melbourne Australia.

During our session I introduced participants to Tai Chi focusing on the theme of relationships in regards to story telling.

We did some push hands and Chi exercises which was new to the group. And we also did circle walking.
