Tai Chi Spear vs TV Set

By Chris Leave a Comment

Lately it has been too wet to practice my Tai Chi weapons’ forms so I’ve had to practice in my living room.

I use my wooden sabre and sword for safety reasons but my eight foot spear can be a problem. Especially near a television set or over hanging lights not to mention the walls. So far I haven’t destroyed anything yet.

The other day I almost collected my first victim – the tv set – when it got in the way of a perfect lunge. Afterwards I thought,  if I had destroyed the set how would I explain it to the insurance company – television set speared?

I don’t think so.

But I’ve got a schedule to keep and the weapons’ forms are essential training so the indoor training will continue.

I wonder how long my tv set will survive the regular attacks?
