Aged Care: Chi Pain Management

By Chris Leave a Comment

I had another two good Chair Chi sessions for residents at aged care centres yesterday.

In the first session one resident commented on her back pain and during the session we did a Chi exercise that helped reduce the pain. And in the second session another resident complained of shoulder pain and we did the same Chi exercise which also helped reduce the pain.

The techniques I use in these sessions are the same I use on myself when I feel any pain in my body.

Some people dispute the existence of Chi and would regard what I do as just having a placebo effect and they may be right.

But who cares?

The end result was that two elderly residents were able to reduce their pain and that’s all that really matters.
