Student Wellbeing: Flip Chart Tool

By Chris Leave a Comment

I’m looking forward to my Pozitive Kidz are happy kidz workshops for a primary school next week.

I’m running four workshops – two before and two after the morning break – for grade five and six students. I’ve been asked to reinforce the following themes; Motivation – Wellbeing – Learning.

I’ve started to use a flip chart mounted on a stand with key words and illustrations to remind students of the themes. A very handy learning tool as my sessions are very interactive and I keep students on the move most of the time so I can keep them enthused and focused.

The flip chart idea gives me a chance to point to it any time during the session so as to reinforce learning. Plus its visibility for the 40 minute session also adds to learning.

I’ve been running Pozitve Kidz are happy kidz for seven years now and I’m always on the lookout for toys, props and training aids to reinforce and achieve deeper learning. Some of the toys and props I use include Hammy Hot Head, Spooky, Teethy and Jacques the Shark.

All good fun.
