ZooKidz

For Grades 5 & 6

A program for building and sustaining positive relationships in the classroom and playground, Zoo Kidz draws on animal metaphors, fun and reflective activities and a selection of Tai Chi skills.

This program is specifically adapted for children from The Organizational Zoo by Arthur Shelley

We also use a Triangle Framework to help children to better understand themselves and others

Specific Tai Chi skills are taught to help students stay grounded and calm when dealing with conflict

The facilitative process strengthens students reflective skills

ZooKidz is a flexible program that can incorporate specific themes of relationships, according to class needs.

Included in the program is an optional pre-program discussion with each teacher (by phone or email) at no extra charge.

The Program

• 4 weeks duration
• 1 x 50 minute session per class per week
• Maximum of three classes per morning (before and after the morning break)
• Teacher information booklet provided
• Reinforces and extends learning
• Maximum 25 students per class.
